Trump reluctantly accepts the position of the first citizen of the new American empire. All the deep state ringleaders are hanged for high treason. The mercs who surrendered are deported on good terms and friendly talks begin to make Mexico part of the new American empire. Elon Musk is appointed director of innovations and his research finds a way to block out the solar flares that prevent electricity from working. Other inventions like the musk space elevator and the room temperature semiconductor bring mankind to the back to the stars. Surprisingly many of musk's discoveries, like the cure to the common cold were already known to the scientific community but the deep state covered them up. The first (all white) colony ship lands on candidate 1 with plans to allow colonization by other races once they have proven themselves to have evolved sufficiently.
